Melon from USR

:>> My 2nd all-time best fighter, 3/4 of line out! 1st still belongs to 7kg biggie Queen from eastern waters.

I never got any melons from Upper Seletar reservoir fishing ground before. I had seen them before, they are big, beautiful, magnificent & heart beat accelerators. Tried a few times unsuccessfully as they are very very elusive. But perseverance, a little luck and steady hands & mind, finally pays off.

My 14th melon, fished out from USR's designated fishing ground!

Take was just 4-5m out but run was so strong till 50-70m out, left with 1/4 line on spool.
I was seeing line I had never seen since line spool-in. Power was 2-3x any of my past melons. I had to constantly monitor my drag as I don't know if my neglected line and trebles can hold onto my 1st USR monster.

Hookup was not good at all, only 1 or 2 hooks holding on. Lure was outside mouth so I decided to make use of the USR's sloping shore to pull it ashore instead of lipgripping. As I pull 60% of its body out of the water, the treble came off!! 88| Luckily I was quick to stop it from sliding back by blocking with one of my feet. HENG LAR!!! :D

After this I got a temensis and another toman, all strong fighters.

All catches released.

Singapore is only this small, our fishing grounds are even smaller. Protect, not da-pao.
