Didn't fishing much lately as busy with some stuff.
As it's bee raining lately so I went USR as I feel got better chance. Upon arrival saw a pack of small peacock basses swimming around. Too bad my lure failed to entice them. On BH rig did entice a small toman to strike however it only bite a little off the tail no hookup.
Move around a little and got a take on my gulp. Classis toman take, rig went down then line went slack a bit I thought threw hook or line burst. Lucky still there, fish must had swam towards me instead of away. Striked a couple of times to set the hook firmly. By now the fish had realised something was wrong and were pulling hard. Did a marlin tarpon jump, thrilling to see. Decent fight for its size and landed after about 2 to 3 mins.
Forgot to bring lip grip so had to use plier to land instead.
Thanks to fellow angler for phototaking.
Fish was released.
Singapore is only this small, our fishing grounds are even smaller. Protect, not da-pao.
